The Oracle
The Oracle is a 1993 puzzle game written and published by Jochen Merz of Duisburg, Germany. The aim of the game is to arrange 72 tiles onto an (almost) empty board with 96 spaces. The tiles can only be placed next to other tiles of the same colour or with the same symbol. The only way to complete the puzzle is by placing the tiles without leaving too many gaps.
It was originally supplied on 3.5" DD floppy disk and included German and English versions on the same disk. The printed manual consists of 6 pages (I assume they were either English or German, depending on where they were sold) and includes a form to fill-in once the puzzle is completed. The first to complete the puzzle by 31st December 1993 won a prize of some kind.
The game is freely available (in a QXL.win file) as part of the QL-SD demo.
